No Matter What Diet You're On, Golden Corral Meets Your Needs, Says Restaurant Chain's Food Director

No matter what diet Golden Corral guests may be on, the bountiful variety of offerings on the Golden Choice buffet meets their needs, says the restaurant chain's top culinary and nutrition executive.
Beverly Lynch, Food and Beverage Director, told Nation's Restaurant News that the menu she developed meets the carbohydrate, calorie and other requirements without diminishing taste appeal.
"We have such wide menu offerings that we can meet everyone's dietary needs," she was quoted in the March 24 issue of the authoritative business publication.
"There's a huge selection on the cold bar. We make all of our salads in house. There's fresh-baked potatoes, fresh sweet potatoes and we do baked fish or fried fish. The guest who wants healthy products can come and get it.'
The roll out of flame-broiled sirloin steaks served on the Golden Choice Buffet seven days a week was an enormous success in 2002 and follow-on innovations are being studied.
"To facilitate our steaks on the buffet we added grills," Mrs. Lynch explained. "As a result, we're now looking at how we utilize the flame grill and flat grill to do more display cooking in front of our guests."
Mrs. Lynch joined Golden Corral Corporation in 1993 after gaining experience teaching culinary classes and working for a grocery chain and a cafeteria system. A native of Cleveland, she received B.S. and MS degrees in food and nutrition and education from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
