LOMA LINDA, CA (Monday, February 21, 2005) -
Farmer Boys Fastaurants annual fundraising event to benefit Loma Linda University Children's Hospital has netted more than $36,000 for the hospital. The event culminates this week with a check presentation ceremony at the hospital.
The money was raised by selling calendars featuring artwork created by patients of the Children's Hospital. This was the restaurant chain's most successful fundraising event to date for the Children's Hospital, bettering the previous record – set last year – by 20% according to Don Tucker, Farmer Boys' Director of Franchising. "We are very grateful to Farmer Boys' guests who responded very well to the calendars," Tucker says. "They felt they were receiving something of value while making a donation to a great cause."
Farmer Boys Food, Inc. is an operator and franchisor of 46 fastaurants located in Southern California. The menu features over 75 menu items including award-winning burgers, specialty sandwiches, freshly-prepared salads, and signature side items such as monster-sized onion rings and deep-fried zucchini. Made-to-order breakfasts include three-egg omelets, French toast, hotcakes, biscuits & gravy, and breakfast burritos.
