Ewf International Expands To Tulsa

Taps Lucrative Women's Market

(Monday, August 01, 2005) - There is a growing entrepreneurial energy among women, and EWF International® is actively cultivating that energy, launching a new franchise in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Professional Women in Oklahoma
Oklahoma is home to an estimated 142,000 women-owned (privately-held, 50% or more) firms, accounting for 50.5% of all privately-held firms in the state. These firms generate more than $31 billion in sales and employ over 262,000 people. With the addition of a Tulsa location, EWF International® has services available to female owners and executives in the two most heavily concentrated business communities in the state.

About EWF International®
Through peer advisory groups called Forums, EWF International® gives women business owners and executives the opportunity to confidentially and intelligently discuss their specific business challenges and receive feedback from women they accept as peers. Each Forum meets monthly, led by a professional facilitator who understands the role of the business owner or executive. To make sure the meetings are productive and intimate, groups are limited to twelve members from non-competing companies

Member Boast Great Return on Investment
EWF offers something completely different from networking groups or professional associations. The members help one another increase revenues, decrease costs and build equity in their businesses. A recent survey showed that Forum members increased revenues by an average of nearly $200,000 and increased business values by up to $1,000,000. Numbers aside, Forum members describe benefits like increased confidence, improved leadership and problem-solving skills and better decision-making as "priceless."

Tulsa Franchise
Lynn Flinn, founder of the Tulsa chapter of the Oklahoma Business Ethics' Consortium, will own and operate the Tulsa EWF International® franchise. "Working with women business owners and executives is a perfect fit for me. I love this business model and know the professional women of Tulsa will reap tremendous benefits from becoming members." Flinn is the winner of the 2005 Pinnacle Award (presented by the Tulsa Mayor's Office and Tulsa Women's Foundation) and 2005 Women's Champion (presented by the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce). Prior to opening EWFI, Lynn began her career at Ernst &Young in Tulsa. For eight years, she was a controller in the banking and publishing industries. Most recently, Lynn was Regional Vice President and VP of Operations for Accounting Principals. Through her work experiences, Lynn has learned first-hand the complexities of managing a staff and budget in fast-paced industries. She is Past President of Leadership Tulsa and Past President of Resonance.

EWF International History
Founded in 1998 by Darcie Harris and Julane Borth, EWF International® has quadrupled in size in the last three years, with franchise locations in Oklahoma City, Dallas and now Tulsa, in addition to the original Oklahoma City business. "We are tremendously excited to make the Forum available to more women. To us, this is much more than a business – it's a mission, a cause," says Harris.
