Ewf International Announces South Forum Charter Members

Five Local Business Women Chosen

NORMAN, OK (Sunday, April 02, 2006) - The first Norman location of Oklahoma City based EWF International® welcomes Angie Hendricks, president and CEO of Bentley Hedges Travel; Cheryl Jenkins, America Home Mortgage; Mina Acquaye, CEO of Excell Home Care & Hospice; Tamara Cain, Carlisle Clothing and Cindy Price, president of Superior Staffing, Inc.

"The metro area is geographically large so we decided to establish a Forum in Norman, making it easier for women in Norman, Moore, south Oklahoma City, even Purcell and Chickasha to join," said Darcie Harris, co-founder of EWF International®.

Through peer advisory groups called Forums, EWF International® gives women business owners the opportunity to confidentially and intelligently discuss business and receive strategic feedback from women they accept as peers. Learning from one another, members gain confidence, increase their decision-making, problem-solving and leadership skills.

"We offer something completely different from networking groups or professional associations," said co-founder Julane Borth. "Our Forums actually help women increase company revenues, decrease costs and add equity to their businesses."

Sherry Dale and Cher Bumps, partners in Strategix Consulting Group, will facilitate the Norman Forum. Prior to her involvement with Strategix, Dale, a certified public accountant, co-founded Express Meat Company, Inc., growing it from a home-based business to the largest independent distributor in the region. Bumps founded and operates Cher A. Bumps and Associates (CABA), one of Oklahoma's largest employee benefits firms. "Both Sherry & Cher have been Forum members for six years. They are excellent consultants and genuinely committed to helping women develop their businesses," said Borth.

Each Forum group meets monthly, led by a professional facilitator who understands the role of the business owner. To make sure the meetings are productive, groups are limited to twelve members from non-competing companies. Forum membership is by invitation only and membership is renewable annually. Forum members access the collective experience, intelligence and talent of their female colleagues to help with complex decisions or challenging situations. Strict confidentiality ensures all members can be totally honest, knowing that what's said in the Forum stays in the Forum. Founded in 1998, EWF International® has one corporate location in Oklahoma City and three franchise locations: Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Dallas. "I'm constantly touched by the courage of women business owners," says Harris. "We are tremendously excited to make the Forum available to more women. To us, this is much more than a business – it's a movement, a cause," said Harris.
