Del Taco Names Sharon Fogg Marketing Vp

(Wednesday, October 26, 2005) - Del Taco, Inc. has tapped Sharon Fogg, an industry veteran with marketing stints at Burger King and Imasco, as its new vice president of marketing.

"She comes to us with an impressive track record in advertising and marketing on both the corporate and agency sides of the business. Equally significant is Sharon's extensive experience in the restaurant industry directing both corporate and field activities. Clearly, she is a perfect match for our needs."

Fogg most recently was senior vice president at an Irvine, Ca.-based international promotion agency, where her areas of responsibility included new client/account sales and service, development for client brand marketing, promotion strategies, objectives and tactics.

As vice president of marketing for Hardee's Food Systems, Fogg successfully developed and implemented a marketing department for the Roy Rogers brand whose responsibilities included conversion strategies, brand identification, co-branding, agency hires and supervision.

At Burger King, Fogg held several positions during a 12-year tenure, including vice president of the company's west division and corporate marketing director. In her corporate position, she was responsible for national and division marketing plans and the development, implementation and evaluation of system-wide marketing plan rollout and sales. Fogg also created, developed and implemented the award-winning "Burger King Kids Club."

Fogg also was featured in the books, The Great Marketing Turnaround from Rapp/Collins and Born to Buy by Juliet B. Schor.

Fogg replaces Joe Senger, who has left Del Taco to pursue other opportunities.
