Breadsmith Opens Third Ohio Store

LAKEWOOD, OHIO (Sunday, February 01, 2004) - Breadsmith, Whitefish Bay, Wis., recently opened a new store in Lakewood, Ohio, near Cleveland. The store is the third Breadsmith in Ohio (Cincinnati and Fairlawn) and the 35th Breadsmith nationwide.

The new store is about 2,000 sq. ft., and its interior design allows customers to watch the bakery's bread production. Founded 10 years ago in Wisconsin, the bakery chain specializes in hand-made, European-style breads.

"Breadsmith has kept its focus on our core mission-hand-crafted bread made from scratch right on premises, using only the highest quality ingredients," said Albert Hasse, president of Breadsmith Franchising.

In addition to crusty European-style breads, the bakeries also offer soft-crusted sandwich breads, focaccia, brioche and a variety of cookies, muffins and sweetgoods.
