LONETREE (Wednesday, March 15, 2006) - Bennett's Bar-B-Que dishes out reasonably priced portions of slow-cooked, hickory smoked, heart-stopping plates of succulent meats. As you get comfortable in the soft-lit, dark-wooded dining room, warmed by a crackling fire, Southern fried dill pickles, feisty chicken wings, and cream-cheese stuffed jalapeno peppers hit the tables with a hefty thud, a warm-up exercise to the huge platters that follow. You can choose from several barbecue dinners: rotisserie chicken, smoked sausage, turkey, pork, brisket and St. Louis style ribs. All are accompanied by grilled garlic bread, coleslaw and a choice of baked potato, barbecue beans or french fries. Slow-smoked prime rib is a house specialty, but it's only served on Friday and Saturday nights. If you wish to partake in the juice dribbling, arrive early, or you'll risk losing out.
