Beaner's Gourmet Coffee Set To Open Three New Stores In March

(Wednesday, February 23, 2005) - BEANER'S Gourmet Coffee will open three new stores in March. Michigan will gain two locations in East Lansing and Jackson; and the South will be introduced to their first BEANER'S in Mobile, Ala.



BEANER'S Gourmet Coffee continues to grow throughout Michigan and the Midwest. The expansion to the South offers new territory for BEANER'S to grow. These stores will be the first new store openings for the coffee shop franchise this year. March seems appropriate for the occasion because BEANER'S will celebrate its 10-year anniversary.



"We are thrilled to be opening so many stores this March," said Bob Fish, CEO. "There couldn't be a better way for us to celebrate our 10 years then by opening more stores. It validates BEANER'S and its success."



BEANER'S specializes in gourmet coffee and fine teas. The gourmet coffee house features more than 30 specialty coffee, tea and frozen drinks. Each day, the store brews six special coffees, and carries a broad selection of pastries, fruit, soups and sandwiches.



BEANER'S opened their first store in 1995 and began franchising in 1999. Global Orange Development, BEANER'S' franchising company, has opened 28 BEANER'S stores since. There are franchises in four states, including eight in Toledo, Ohio, and 19 in Michigan: 11 in the Lansing area, and stores in Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Traverse City. The company plans to open 17 more locations by the end of this year.



"This year is a big year for us," said Mike McFall, President. "We are expanding at a good rate and we hope to maintain this growth."



The three new BEANER'S Gourmet Coffee stores all have convenient locations. The East Lansing store is located at 3499 E. Lake Lansing Rd. in East Lansing, Mich. The Jackson store is located at 1025 N. Wisner St. in Jackson, Mich. And, the Mobile store is located in the Providence Place Shopping Center at 6920 Airport Blvd. in Mobile, Ala.
