Beaner's Gourmet Coffee To Present Check To Lansing's New Hope Day Center For The Homeless

(Wednesday, January 05, 2005) - BEANER'S Gourmet Coffee will present a check to Lansing's New Hope Day Center for the homeless tomorrow, Friday, January 6, at 11:00 a.m. The Lansing-based coffee house franchise raised money for the New Hope Day Center at its Lansing-area locations by donating a dollar for every mug sold between December 1 and Christmas.

The money is being tallied and has already reached $2,000. The total contribution will be presented to the Volunteers of America Director of Operations, Patrick Patterson. Mr. Patterson will lead a tour of the New Hope Day Center for both the CEO and President of BEANER'S.

The New Hope Day Center for the Homeless will provide housing resources, clothing vouchers, life skills training, substance abuse education, counseling, health services, employment training and many other important services.

The Center is located at 430 North Larch St. in Lansing, Mich.
