Native American Firm Celebrates Their Wolf

(Tuesday, July 02, 2002) - Alliance of Professionals & Consultants (APC) unveiled their creation of the Raleigh Red Wolf Monday afternoon, in front of the APC office headquarters on Leesville Road. As a Native American firm, APC's wolf takes on special meaning. Besides being Raleigh's Rambling Red Wolf, it is believed by Native Americans that the wolf is a symbol of Power, Loyalty, Courage, Strength, Intelligence, and Familial Devotion. APC strives to provide all of these aspects into its business environment.

Roy Roberts, President & CEO, presented the wolf to guests that included APC employees, Marketing Reps, Clients, family and friends. The wolf has been given a Cherokee name that is pronounced Wa Ya, meaning wolf.

The employees were asked before hand for their opinion on what kind of theme the wolf should take on. Maria Hurst, an APC employee, assisted with the design of the wolf by working with management and taking employee ideas. With her creative talents, she was able to paint the wolf to match the design. The outcome is a true wolf with a technical look. It took her about 3 days to do all the artwork and was able to have it ready on the official unveiling day.

APC is excited about being a part of the Raleigh Red Wolf Ramble and is delighted with the outcome of how our wolf looks.
