The Melting Pot Restaurants Inc. Names New Vice President Of Construction And Design

(Thursday, February 02, 2006) - The Melting Pot Restaurants Inc., the nation's largest fondue restaurant franchise, today announced the appointment of the company's new vice president of construction and design. In this new growth position, Jay Walden is responsible for guiding and enhancing The Melting Pot's overall restaurant construction, design and project management. Walden previously was director of construction and design with The Melting Pot Restaurants.

"With more than 20 new restaurants slated to open in 2006, the entire construction and design team is looking ahead to a very busy and very successful year," Walden said. "In 2005, we instituted several enhanced processes in design and project management, and we're going to put those new tools to use for our new locations in 2006 and beyond."

Walden's new responsibilities as vice president include project planning and cost mitigation, site location, physical plant design, interior design and more. Walden has been with The Melting Pot Restaurants for five years, and he previously served as national accounts manager with Beltram Foodservice Group for 13 years.
