1971 - "from Our Den To Your Den" -2006

PITTSBURGH, PA (Thursday, March 23, 2006) - Fox's Pizza Den, a 100% franchised operation celebrates it's 35th anniversary. From humble beginnings in a rented storefront, the 265 unit operation now spans the entire USA. Jim Fox Sr, founder and president of the company attributed his longevity and success in the competitive pizza industry to low royalties and low start up costs. Fox, who has been a loyal supporter of the International Pizza Expo was given a surprise anniversary party at the 2006 Expo. Many long time vendors & over 50 franchisees from across the country along with many other industry well wishers extended their congratulatory remarks to Fox. Fox comments, "The surprise was very special to me. Las Vegas has been my favorite vacation spot since my first visit in 1971, my son Jim Jr., vice president of the company, even got married here last year." Fox now has 5 locations in the greater Las Vegas area. "Vegas is the ultimate city to celebrate any great occasion and 35 years in the pizza business fills that bill. I am very fortunate to have a wonderful family, great friends and the very best franchisees in the world. We are truly a Family Franchise"



The Pittsburgh based company has experienced record growth over the past 2 years, serving over 9 million pizzas and 8 million sandwiches annually. To handle the increase they have implemented a state of the art online communication system with their franchisees. An E-newsletter is distributed semi-monthly to keep franchisees abreast of developments in the pizza industry A secure online forum has also been constructed so that franchisees can share their questions and success stories with others. Fox has shared his success by investing in his franchisees. Seminars featuring industry leaders, like Kamron Karington have been had and state of the art training programs are being set in place. Fox's efforts have produced many successful franchisees. Punxsuatwney franchisee, Scott Anthony, has become a nationally recognized name in the pizza industry and appeared in the Expo conference line-up.



At the Expo it was announced that Fox will open a new commissary to better service his franchisees. " The new 20,000 square foot location will house 5 offices for commissary operations, 4 offices for franchise sales, a conference room, a test kitchen and ample warehouse space, more than tripling the present space for the corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA." states Jeff Holsing , Warehouse manager. A grand opening is planned for summer 2006.



Restaurant Business magazine recently named Fox's Pizza Den in the top 50 growth chains in the country & Fox's has consistently ranked among the top 25 pizza chains in the world according to Pizza Today magazine.
