Spring Is Time For Home Repairs

PITTSBURGH (Saturday, May 14, 2005) - Homeowners should remember to tackle home repairs in the spring to get the house ready for the upcoming season.

Seal or recaulk windows.
Clean and lubricate window channels for smoother sliding.

Take out the garden hose, inspect spigots.
Clean or seal the deck or patio.
Check for signs of rotting wood on the deck and replace boards where necessary.
Clean gutters of clogged leaves and dirt, secure gutters that may have come loose.
Change the furnace filter and check the blower.
