Taco Del Mar Signs Deal With Canadian Convenience Store Operator

SEATTLE (Thursday, September 02, 2004) - Seattle-based Taco Del Mar said it has signed a master developer agreement with Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., which plans to open Taco Del Mar franchises throughout British Columbia.

The Taco Del Mar franchises would be cobranded with Mac's Convenience Stores LLC, also owned by Alimentation,

Two cobranded locations are already under development in Richmond and Vancouver Island, with future locations to be announced this year, Taco Del Mar said.

Innovative Management Solutions, the franchise consultant for Taco Del Mar in Canada, has already opened eight franchise locations throughout British Columbia in less than a year, most recently in Prince George and in Squamish, near the Whistler resort. Twelve more stores are slated for opening by year's end. Additional expansion is planned for Alberta in 2005, officials said.
