Local Moving Franchise Wins National Award

HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA (Tuesday, March 01, 2005) - Local businessman Joe Hollingsworth of Huntsville was recently honored for his strong commitment to customer service by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®/INTERNATIONAL, Inc.

Hollingsworth, who started TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®/Huntsville in 1997, is the most recent recipient of the Exceptional Customer Service Award. This prestigious award is based on the franchise's mystery shop scores throughout the year. A third party Lansing-based research company calls and emails each franchise four times a year and then rates their customer services. Individuals are expected to be informative, friendly and courteous with every call or email coming into the franchise.

The Huntsville office beat 139 locations nationwide for this prestigious award. The winner was announced at the company's annual meeting recently held in Charleston, SC.

Hollingsworth credits his 35 employees for the franchise's success. He said strong training, focusing on "The Grandma Rule" – treating customers as you would like your grandmother to be treated – and a strict hiring process really paid off.

They never know when they will be "shopped" so everyone makes sure to be at their best all the time, he said.

"We focus on thoroughness – when customers call we aren't just reciting a script,'' Hollingsworth said. "Our representatives know what they are talking about. If a customer asks them questions they are very knowledgeable about the industry and can give an educated answer. And the people out on the trucks really care about what they are doing.

"That's what separates us from the pack.''
