Punter Chosen To Receive "on The Move" Award For Community Service, Team Spirit

DETROIT, MICH (Saturday, December 24, 2005) - Billy Sullivan, punter and place kicker for the University of Akron was named the "On the Move" player by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®/INTERNATIONAL, Inc. CEO and Founder Mary Ellen Sheets will present the award to Sullivan and the University of Memphis recipient, Marcus West, Dec. 24.
Each year, one player from each team participating in the Motor City Bowl in Detroit, Mich. is recognized for his outstanding sportsmanship in daily athletic participation, good citizenship on and off the field including community activities and leadership skills that contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
Sullivan, a senior, volunteers at Haven of Rest Ministries, Akron Children's Hospital and mentors children.
"We feel it is important to recognize tomorrow's leaders and those who have a role in developing them," Sheets said, adding that TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, will also donate $1,000 to the University of Akron Athletic Scholarship Fund. "I think this award is a great way to honor Billy for caring about his future and the future of others."

Sullivan, originally of Niles, Ohio, appeared in all 12 games of his senior year. He's a four-year starter at Akron. He averaged 39.3 yards per kick and downed a career-high 14 punts insides the 20-yard line. A graduate of McKinley High School, he was a first-team All-Ohio Division II punter.
Throughout the school year Sullivan visited Akron Children's Hospital every Friday before home games. He is also active in the Student Athletes Advisory Council Youth Mentoring Program and visits local elementary schools to read to children.
