Quiznos' Baby Bob To Promote Vh1's '100 Greatest Teen Stars'; First-ever Spokesbaby To Support A Major Network Tv Show
DENVER (Wednesday, February 08, 2006) -
Baby Bob knows a thing or two about being a child star, rising to fame as the world's first spokesbaby, and appearing alongside supermodels, sports heroes, and famous chefs on behalf of Quiznos Sub. Now, this pint-sized pitchman lends his talent and wit to promoting "VH1's 100 Greatest Teen Stars," making him the first "baby" ever to promote a major network television show.
"As soon as I heard about the show, I had my people try and get me on the list. I mean, I'm not as young as I look," said Bob. "Oh well, if VH1 ever decides to do a 100 Greatest Baby Stars show, I'm a shoe-in!"
Like cartoon characters, Bob never ages even though the people around him do. He was born smart and started talking at three months, although he doesn't know how to walk and his motor skills are limited. His lack of mobility, dexterity and, by the way, molars, annoys the heck out of him because he can't do all the things that he wants to. His brains and infinite knowledge are both a blessing and a curse.
Bob's promotion of "100 Greatest Teen Stars" includes television spots and Internet advertising, including a special website where visitors can vote whether their favorite teen stars' careers are "Toasty Hot" or "Gone Cold." VH1's "100 Greatest Teen Stars" premieres this week on VH1.
