Taco Del Mar Bites Into Ventura To San Luis Obispo Region

Master Developer Ranbir Singh Brings Mondo Burritos and Rippin' Tacos to Four-County Area of Mid Coastal California

(Thursday, July 28, 2005) - Immediately when Ranbir Singh decided to open Taco Del Mar restaurants in Ventura, he had five multi unit franchisees ready to build restaurants. Soon people in Ventura, San Luis Obispo, Bakersfield and Santa Barbara will know Taco Del Mar as THE destination for mondo burritos and rippin' tacos. Ranbir Singh of Kirpal Group has signed with Taco Del Mar to become its Master Developer for the counties of Ventura, Kern, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties.

The Baja-centric restaurant concept for fast-casual Mexican food is quickly getting started. The Kirpal Group's development region for Taco Del Mar spans from Ventura, Bakersfield, Santa Barbara & San Luis Obispo. Singh plans on opening about 76 Taco Del Mar restaurants by 2010. He anticipates opening the first six restaurants by March 2006 in Ventura, Bakersfield, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo.

Singh is a seasoned expert in quick serve restaurant development in California. He started with Subway as a manager in Santa Barbara, Goleta and Lompoc areas, then ascended with the company in Sacramento as an assistant development agent. There he handled new development, leasing, franchise sales, store design, construction and operations. He also owned and operated two Subway stores before selling them to focus on Taco Del Mar development.

Taco Del Mar offers comparatively low start-up costs for franchisees (roughly $115,000 to $244,000 per store build out); each has a "kitchen-less kitchen," similar to Subway, which keeps equipment investment and labor costs relatively low.
