Associate Excellence: Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associates Elect New Advisory Board Members

3 New Members, 3 Reelected; Board Advises on Network's Strategic Direction.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (Thursday, February 02, 2006) - Demonstrating their commitment to the Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associate network and to the travel agency community as a whole, six travel agency owners have been elected to the Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associate Advisory Board. Associates (franchisees) from five regions of the country voted to send three new representatives to the board, while two others were reelected. In addition, one Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associate was reelected to represent the network's Leaders Group on the Advisory Board. The Leaders Group is comprised of those Associates with the most annual sales volume.

The Associate Advisory Board plays a key role in the Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associate Division's strategic planning, because it serves as a sounding board and speaks on behalf of the entire network. The Board conducts regular meetings with key leadership from the Associate Division, assuring that the voice of the Associates continues to be heard. Thirteen representatives serve on the Associate Advisory Board: two members from each of the five districts, one at-large member and two Leaders Group representatives.

Voting in the recent annual election was completed on January 20, 2006. The newest members of the 2006 Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associate Advisory Board members are:

Sandy Bohmer of Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Coon Rapids, MN. Bohmer was elected to a two-year term to represent the Mid Northwest District (IL, IN, MN, MT, ND, SD, WI).

Morris Capouya of Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Montgomery, AL. Capouya was elected to a two-year term to represent the Northeast/Southeast District (AL, FL, MA, MD, ME, MS, NC, NH, TN, SC, PR, VA).

Barbara Mazzola of Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Middleburg Heights, OH, was elected to a two-year term to represent the Northern Great Lakes District (CT, MI, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI).

Members who were reelected for an additional two-year term include:

Terry Denton of Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Fort Worth, TX, was reelected to a two-year term to represent the South Central District (AR, AZ, CO, GA, IA, KS, KY, LA, MO, NE, NM, OK, TX, UT).

Mary Lou Snyder of Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Yakima, WA, was reelected to a two-year term to represent the Western District (AK, CA, HI, ID, NV, OR, WA, WY).

Teri Trettin of Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Tacoma, WA, was reelected to a two-year term to represent the Leaders Group.

Six other Carlson Wagonlit Travel Associate Advisory Board members are in the midst of their two-year terms. There is one member at-large position that is still open.
