The Hilton Family Of Hotels Activates Comprehensive U.s. Olympic Sponsorship With Integrated Marketing & Sales Initiatives

Hilton Family of Hotels Becomes Only Sponsor to Sign All Eight Winter National Governing Bodies of Olympic Sports

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIF. (Tuesday, January 24, 2006) - Hilton Hotels Corporation today expanded its sponsorship of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams through 2008 to include direct support for all eight United States Governing Bodies (NGB) of Olympic and Paralympic winter sports. The Hilton Family of Hotels, including Hilton, Conrad, Doubletree, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hampton, Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Grand Vacations Club and Homewood Suites by Hilton Hotels, is now the only sponsor to formally help support all eight winter NGBs directly which include: US Biathlon Association, U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation, U.S. Curling Association, U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey, U.S. Luge Association, U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association and U.S. Speedskating.

As part of its NGB sponsorships, the Hilton Family of Hotels will offer its "Team USA™ Advantage" program to the NGBs and its members to provide support at the local level as well. This unique travel program provides discounted room rates and direct support to help teams offset their current and future travel expenses through marketing contributions, Hilton HHonors® Diamond and Gold VIP memberships, and discounted room packages. When travel is booked through Team USA™ Advantage, teams or individuals will receive 10 percent off the best available rate at nearly 2,300 participating Hilton Family hotel properties* and a donation will be made directly to their respective NGB.

By extending the Team USA™ Advantage program to all of its members, discounted rooms may be booked at Hilton Family hotels by NGB staff, officials, athletes, their families and friends, providing the necessary support at the local level, as well as for our country's elite athletes.

The Hilton Family is also providing support for the U.S. Olympic movement through other initiatives as well, including sponsorship of both the Hilton Family Skating and Gymnastics Spectacular-an exhibition of some of the world's best U.S. Olympic figure skaters and gymnasts-and the Hilton Family Skate to 2006 Tour-a series of 11 pre-Olympic events with the U.S. Women's National Ice Hockey Team. Other U.S. Olympic programming covers multiple business elements, all designed to raise awareness for the Hilton Family of Hotels' commitment to enhancing the athletes' experience and performance at the Games. Those efforts include:


Hilton Competitive Advantage Program: Working with Dr. Mark Rosekind, a former NASA scientist and president of Alertness Solutions, Hilton modified 160 resident athlete dorm rooms at the Colorado Springs U.S. Olympic Training Center to help increase the athletes' alertness and reaction time for peak performance;
Hilton HHonors: The guest reward program for the Hilton Family of Hotels will have a presence at various U.S. Olympic Team qualifying events and World Cup competitions for attendees to enroll;
LodgeNet Olympic Programming: A series of pay-per-view Olympic vignettes will be made available at participating U.S. Hilton Family hotels through its in-room LodgeNet service, with a portion of the proceeds going directly to support the U.S. Olympic Team;
Hampton Hotels Save-A-Landmark™ program: Hampton Hotels, along with 25 of its hotel employee-volunteers from Alabama, teamed up to restore the Jesse Owens Memorial Park as part of the landmark restoration program; Hampton also launched an Olympic-themed category on its popular Hidden Landmarks™ website, www.hamptonlandmarks.com, as part of the refurbishment;
Doubletree Summer 2005 kidsCAREpak® Program -- Doubletree® Hotels celebrated the Olympic spirit this past summer with its youngest guests at more than 110 family-friendly destinations across North America through its kidsCAREpak® family travel program. From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, complimentary welcome gifts were presented to thousands of young Doubletree guests ages 3 to 13 in the form of a backpack that featured a variety of athletic and Olympic-themed games and activities for kids to learn about and enjoy;
Sweepstakes and Contests: A series of sweepstakes tied into each brand, including the "Hilton Family 2006 U.S. Olympic Winter Sweepstakes" and the "Hilton Family U.S. Olympic Downhill Dash," have been developed to help bring the Olympic experience closer to America's fans;
USA House in Torino: HHC will provide a business center and coffee bar, aptly named the Hilton Family Connection Café, providing visitors a place to check email, chat with friends and family members back home via Web cam, surf the Internet or simply relax and enjoy an espresso or cup of American coffee;
Additional Support from Embassy Suites Hotels and Homewood Suites by Hilton: Embassy Suites Hotels will donate $1 to the U.S. Olympic Team for every online booking between the dates of 12/08/05 and 2/15/06. Total donations will be capped at $100,000. And for every Homewood Winter Getaway stay completed in the United States between 11/01/05 and 01/29/06, Homewood Suites by Hilton will donate $1 to the U.S. Olympic Team, with a minimum donation of $20,000; and
Flag Raising and Employee Celebrations: To show its continued support for and celebrate its sponsorship of the 2006 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams, all 2,300 Hilton Family of Hotels across the country hosted a special flag-raising ceremony with Hilton executives and employees just 140 days before the Opening Ceremony of the 2006 Olympic Winter Games. Olympians Vonetta Flowers (Birmingham, Ala.) and Casey FitzRandolph (Salt Lake City, Utah) attended celebrations in Memphis and Dallas respectively; Paralympian Allison Ahlfeldt ( Newport Beach, Calif.) attended a celebration in Beverly Hills.

The Hilton Family of Hotels' sponsorship of the 2006 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams will extend through the 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing, China, and will also include sponsorship of the 2007 U.S. Pan American Team.
