Andy Ginger Joins Snap-on As Chief Marketing Officer

Snap-on Incorporated (NYSE: SNA) announced today that Andy Ginger will be joining the company as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Snap-on Incorporated effective October 26, 2005. He will report directly to Jack D. Michaels, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. Andy will lead the Snap-on Incorporated branding strategy, with a focus on extending the companys market leadership and contributing to stronger overall results. Ginger was most recently Vice President, Brand Management for Sears, Roebuck and Company. His 26 years at Sears included 18 years in marketing and 12 managing the Craftsman brand. He is a talented brand officer with relevant experience managing multiple brands, including Craftsman, Kenmore and Die Hard across numerous categories and channels. Andy is a strong and passionate marketer who has generated growth and brand equity through integrated marketing programs in major retail businesses from automotive to home improvement, said Michaels. He is a strong team leader, and brings with him a personal history that has been dedicated to delivering quality and value for customers. Ginger will work with Snap-ons existing marketing teams to enhance the companys key brands and strengthen their market positioning. Most importantly, he will be charged with bringing clarity to the companys 20+ brands, creating a vision where each brand profitably fits a strategic need, market and channel. He will work across all business units and regions to develop and implement a plan to realize this vision. Ginger holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and political science, and a Masters Degree in journalism and public relations from Northern Illinois University.
