New Toasted Gourmet Bread BowlsTM…Not Just Soup, But a Meal

DENVER, CO (Thursday, January 05, 2006) - Quiznos today introduced its all-new Toasted Gourmet Bread BowlsTM—fresh-baked bread filled with premium meats and topped with hearty soups and melted cheddar cheese—taking bread bowls to a whole new level. These mouth-watering, chef-inspired creations hit Quiznos stores nationwide this week. Quiznos is the only national restaurant chain to serve up meals in gourmet bread bowls.


“Toasted artisan breads, our high quality meats and premium soups are hallmarks of the Quiznos experience, so what better way to satisfy your hunger than with a complete meal that includes all of these ingredients,” said Chief Concept and Marketing Officer Tom Ryan. “Quiznos’ Toasted Gourmet Bread Bowls are a delicious alternative to higher priced offerings from casual dining establishments and the traditional fare found at most fast food restaurants. You’ve never seen bread bowls done like this.”


The Toasted Gourmet Bread Bowls are available in three tasty varieties: Southwest Chicken, featuring roasted chicken topped with creamy Southwestern chicken corn chowder and melted cheddar cheese; Signature Steak ‘N Chili, featuring tender steak topped with hearty chili and melted cheddar cheese; and Country French Chicken, featuring oven roasted chicken topped with broccoli cheese soup and melted cheddar cheese. But the meal doesn’t end when you get to the bottom of the bowl.


“The rich flavors of all the ingredients blend into the sides and the bottom of the bread bowl, you can’t help but cut up the gourmet bread bowl and eat it too,” added Ryan. “We’ve made sure every Quiznos restaurant has a full supply of knives and forks just in case.”
