Bar-b-cutie Unveils Prototype, Reaching Nationwide
NASHVILLE, TN (Thursday, January 19, 2006) -
Graphic design artist along with Ronnie and Brett McFarland have finally unveiled what they hope will place Bar-B-Cutie all over the map! This prototype features a rustic-looking building with a full patio, strung lights and plenty of stacked hickory wood for the bar-b-que. While this will welcome you outside, the savoring scent of fresh, grilled baby-back ribs will entice you to come inside. Youll wash your hands at an old-fashioned wash tub sink and place your to-go orders at a private to-go window.
Bar-B-Cutie is a casual/fast-food restaurant specializing in Hickory Pit Bar-B-Q and Baby Back Ribs. Bar-B-Cutie has always been a Nashville tradition. Often well hear generational stories of engagements or see famous people at Bar-B-Cutie, says Paula, a long time employee of the restaurant, In fact, Dolly Parton has always been a Bar-B-Cutie goer, she finishes. Most people cant come to Nashville without stopping in at Bar-B-Cutie.
So Brett McFarland, in January 2004, decided to take this Nashville concept on the road. In order to market their concept more effectively, he and his father, Ronnie McFarland, teamed up with Franchise Growth Systems. FGS assist with marketing single units, master units, and multi-units for Bar-B-Cutie. FGS specializes in master area development. After meeting with Brett and Ronnie on several occasions FGS determined that Bar-B-Cutie was a very marketable concept with a proven track record of success and therefore could be sold by FGS. This was the beginning of Bar-B-Cutie Franchise Systems LLC.
Over the past several years, they have fine-tuned their menu, offering the same selections in a more adaptable format. They have developed training for franchisees. They have established marketing venues including billboard ads and local advertising campaigns aimed at developing each franchises market, but the most exciting thing to be developed so far has been the duplicatable building prototype. Inside and out it will blow you away, says Brett.
We want Bar-B-Cutie to be recognizable and distinct. Our food has always been outstanding as well as our service, but we are just completing our puzzle by establishing a prototype that will be consistent, whether you eat with us in Arizona or Maryland. We have taken our 65 years of combined restaurant experience and fine-tuned every aspect of our building. We want to make it franchisee friendly, employee friendly, and customer friendly! states Brett.
The company does its business through drive-through, dine-in, and catering. The drive-through prides itself on completing each order with perfection at a speed of 2 minutes and 40 seconds from the time of order to its completion and actual hand off. Dine-in customers enjoy the upbeat staff as well as the delicious bar-b-que, ribs, and fixins. Each food item is hand prepared fresh daily with its 1958 recipes that have made it a Nashville hotspot. Air force I, Air force II, Garth Brooks, and Kiss are some of their most notable catering customers. With all three revenue sources, Bar-B-Cutie is sure to quickly become a franchise favorite.
Menu favorites include: Bar-B-Q on Cornbread Sandwich with Slaw, Big Bobs Beef Brisket, and of course….Hickory Smoked Bar-B-Q and Baby Back Ribs with our special bar-b-q sauce. Homemade banana pudding is also a customer pick! Prices for meals range from $6.99 to $12.99 with an average check of $10.50. Catered meals range in price from $6.99 per person to $12.95 per person.
I have been overwhelmingly pleased at the success of my franchise, says Mike Cannata, a franchisee with one location in Rivergate, Tennessee, and one in Murfreesboro Tennessee. I am pleased with every aspect of my store and would like to open more. Cannata remarks. More and more cooperate executives are moving to the restaurant business and we know that. Nowadays franchises must be made easy enough where anyone can duplicate and where anyone can succeed. Brett suggests.
The Nashville based store has gone through many facelifts since 1948, but preparing Nashvillians for this new prototype geared toward expanding the company nationwide is something that will not be a challenge. Customers miss the Bar-B-Cutie car hops and old buildings but are proud to share a Nashville heritage with others across the nation.
Bar-B-Cutie will be adding franchise locations in Memphis,TN the winter of 2006, and in Atlanta, Georgia February 2006. Bar-B-Cutie presently has two company owned stores and four franchise locations in Tennessee. Initial investment for a franchise location including the initial franchise fee is estimated to range from $265,000 to $393,000, excluding the cost of real estate and leasehold improvements.
So look for a Bar-B-Cutie store near you, but dont look at the old….look for the new (prototype that is)!
