My Girlfriend's Kitchen Announces 10 New Locations Opening In 10 States

SALT LAKE CITY, UT (Tuesday, November 22, 2005) - My Girlfriend’s Kitchen, the “make-it-yourself dinner store” and a leader in the growing meal assembly business category, today announced the signing of ten new franchise agreements for new store openings in ten different states in late 2005/early 2006.

The ten new stores are planned for the following locations:

1. Gilbert, Arizona

2. Wilmington, Delaware

3. Carmel/Fishers, Indiana

4. Gambrills, Maryland

5. Shelby Township, Michigan

6. Plymouth, Minnesota

7. Reno, Nevada

8. Charlotte/Old Statesville, North Carolina,

9. Cincinnati/Mason, Ohio

10. Richmond/Short Pump, Virginia

This will bring the total number of My Girlfriend’s Kitchen locations open in early 2006 to 18. The franchise chain currently has eight stores open and operating in North Carolina, Ohio, South Dakota, Utah and Virginia.

My Girlfriend’s Kitchen President and Co-Founder Jennifer Jackenthal projects continued growth for the company with at least 100 additional locations open and operating by the end of 2006. “Meal assembly is a very hot category, and My Girlfriend’s Kitchen has carved out a unique and compelling brand. Customers select a start-time and the dishes they want from a changing monthly menu, and assemble 12 family-sized dinners in about two hours in the fun, comfortable environment of a My Girlfriend’s Kitchen store – without having to do any recipe planning, grocery shopping, chopping, slicing, dicing or clean-up. Pick-up and delivery is also available at all locations, though the majority of customers opt to assemble their meals themselves so they can customize them to their family’s tastes, and also to have the positive feeling of the meals being authentically “home-made.”
