Massage Envy Brings Franchise Opportunities To Iowa, Nebraska And Eastern Illinois

DES MOINES, IOWA (Thursday, October 20, 2005) - Massage Envy® Limited, LLC, a national franchisor of massage clinics, today announced opportunities for franchise ownership in Iowa, Nebraska and Eastern Illinois.

Co-owners Les Snyder and Stacey Kramer earlier this month opened the first Massage Envy clinic franchise in the region in Omaha, Neb. at The Shops of Legacy (168th and Center).

Massage Envy provides each franchisee with the business concept, a facility design, marketing programs, computerized operations and revenue opportunities.

“Massage Envy lays the framework for an ambitious businessperson to succeed in an industry that is growing quickly,” Fitzgerald said. “The percentage of Americans using massage therapists has doubled since 1997.”

Massage Envy clinics will employ nearly 30 massage therapists and staff, and will work closely with area massage therapy schools to recruit and hire their alumni.

“With such a high number of massage therapists on staff, each clinic will be able to offer more than 4,000 appointment times per month,” Fitzgerald said.

Massage Envy offers three, six and twelve-month memberships for $49 a month, which all include a one-hour massage session. Members also receive additional one-hour massage sessions for $39 and other reduced rates at Massage Envy clinics across the country.

Non-members can also use Massage Envy’s services. Massage Envy offers all first-time customers an introductory one-hour massage session for $39.

Fitzgerald was previously president of Ramco Innovations in West Des Moines, Iowa for 15 years. His co-owner and spouse, Kathy Fitzgerald, has twenty-five years experience in the healthcare industry as a registered nurse and has been an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner for seven years.
