Tss Photography Holds `franchise Giveaway’ Contest For Military Veterans

Leading U.S. Photography Franchise to Award $20,000 Territory to Armed Forces Veteran

ATLANTA, GEORGIA (Wednesday, January 11, 2006) - With its newly named president a U.S. Marine veteran, it’s no wonder TSS Photography is taking extraordinary steps to give back to America’s Armed Forces.

TSS Photography, the nation’s first youth photography franchise and formerly known as The Sports Section, has announced it will award a franchise territory worth $20,000 to a retired or honorably-discharged member of the Armed Forces. The 250,000-population territory can be anywhere in the country, where TSS Photography does not have a current franchise. The winner will receive the franchise territory, plus $5,000 in equipment, three nights at the TSS Photography Convention Hotel for training and public relations support for their opening – for a total value of $30,000.

As part of the selection criteria, candidates are required to submit an essay focusing on what their service to America has meant to them, why they would be an excellent franchise owner and why TSS Photography would be their franchise of choice. In the essay, the candidate will also have to demonstrate previous dedication/commitment to their communities, including involvement in local organizations, donations to charitable causes, youth outreach, etc. The winner will also convey a previous entrepreneurial ambition.

“These men and women have made tremendous sacrifices in the name of our country,” said TSS President Joe Lindenmayer. “Providing them with an opportunity to get their foot in the door to our franchise so they can operate their own business is just one small gesture to give back to them,” Lindenmayer said.

Having served in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) himself from 1989 to 1996 as a corporal, Lindenmayer said he’s familiar with the training and mentality provided in the armed forces and how it lends itself directly toward being a successful business owner. In fact, many other TSS Photography franchisees have formerly served in all branches of the Armed Forces dating back to the 1950’s.

“It’s a win-win for both of us,” he added. “This is a great opportunity to award a deserving veteran a wonderful franchise and lifestyle, while we receive the honor of having a disciplined, hardworking franchisee in the TSS Photography system.”

To ensure that the most deserving a perfect fit will be chosen, TSS Photography’s selection committee consists of former active duty veterans of the Armed Forces. They are: Harry Baird from Georgia, Eddie Demary from Texas, Debi and Rick Lajti from New York Carlos Muro from California.

“By giving away a TSS franchise, perhaps we can change the life of someone who has fought for us to ensure that the lives of all Americans don’t have to change,” Lindenmayer said.
