Charlotte Based Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina Introduces Even More Menu Items To Appeal To Dinner Crowd; 25 Restaurants Open; Will Reach 40+ By Year End!

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA (Friday, October 14, 2005) - Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina is embarking on an exciting expansion of their menu. Several new dishes are set to roll our 4th quarter 2005 and continue on through 1st quarter 2006. The Fresh-Mex restaurant, known for their build-your-own Mexican dishes, is introducing a delicious new entrée that was designed to serve as a dinner offering.

Salsarita’s newest menu item lends itself to customers looking to take a seat in the cantina-themed restaurant and enjoy a “platter” of delicious Mexican food. This new platter includes classic corn Enchiladas stuffed with juicy meats and warm cheeses, and is covered in zesty red enchilada sauce as well as rich poblano cream sauce. Like most other Salsarita’s menu items, the Enchilada platter comes in two sizes: regular and large. The regular sized platter consists of two Enchiladas, comes complete with Salsarita’s new and improved black beans and rice, and is priced under $5.00! For a hungrier crowd, a large entrée of 3 Enchiladas is available. The new Enchilada platter is a traditional knife and fork item, and is sure to please dinner-sized appetites!

Salsarita’s store openings have been strong and steady throughout August and September, launching them to a total of 26 store open. The most recent additions to the Salsarita’s team include West Chester, OH, Oldsmar, FL, Chesapeake, VA, Pikesville, MD, Louisville, KY, Ocean City, MD and Sanford, FL. In addition, two new Compass Group stores have been opened, growing the Salsarita’s college campus store count to three. These new campus locations include The University of North Carolina-Charlotte and St. Louis University. The store count will continue to climb throughout 4th quarter, reaching nearly 45 stores by January 2006.

The restaurant’s operator-based growth rate, coupled with their simple, efficient, and profitable franchisee plan, suggest that customers should look to find Salsarita’s crowd pleasing menu coming to their hometowns in the not too distant future.
