The Plamondon Companies Raise $10,000 For The American Red Cross

FREDERICK, MARYLAND (Friday, February 25, 2005) - Recently, the 15 Plamondon-owned Roy Rogers Restaurants held a fundraiser where 5% of all fried chicken sales from one month as well as a portion of revenues during the same time period from its three Frederick-based Marriott hotels, Residence Inn by Marriott, Courtyard by Marriott and Fairfield Inn by Marriott, were donated to the American Red Cross. The Plamondon Companies heavily promoted its fundraising efforts through in-store marketing materials. The combined hard work of the associates and guests of the Roy Rogers Restaurants and three Marriott hotels generated a successful donation of $10,000. The restaurant and hotel donations will support both the National Red Cross hurricane relief fund and the local chapter disaster relief efforts.

To celebrate this triumphant donation, The Plamondon Companies held a luncheon on Wednesday, February 23, at the Ballenger Creek Roy Rogers Restaurant. Guests included staff and board members from the Frederick County Chapter of the Red Cross as well as local media.

“The Plamondon Companies and the Frederick County Chapter of the Red Cross have shared a long partnership supporting our community,” states Leah Crace, Executive Director of the local chapter. “They always stand ready to provide hot food for our relief efforts, safe lodging for our disaster clients and financial support for relief efforts.”

The Frederick-based Plamondon Companies is the franchisor for Roy Rogers Restaurants and operates 15 corporate restaurants and 41 franchise locations in the Mid-Atlantic region. Additionally, the Company owns a Residence Inn by Marriott, Courtyard by Marriott and a Fairfield Inn by Marriott in Frederick, Maryland.
