Obee's `slices' Into The Monterrey Area With Two New Locations

PORT CHARLOTTE, FLORIDA (Wednesday, December 10, 2003) - Winning the hearts of sub lovers across the nation by serving home-quality soups, salads and subs, Obee's is proud to announce the opening of their two newest locations in Monterrey.

The Zambrano Family recently opened two Obee's locations in the region. One located at Plaza La Salle Sur, Francisco G. Sada 2948, Col. Chepevera, and the located at Plaza Morelos, Paras 803, Col. Centro. As part of a recently announced international agreement with Obee's, the family plans to open an additional 141 stores in the area, with at least 49 locations open by 2008.

Serving as Obee's Master Sub- Franchisor for Mexico, the Zambrano Family is actively recruiting prospective franchisees in the markets to join them.

Obee's Mexico locations will serve subs made with the same high quality meats, cheeses and condiments available at Obee's United States locations. Additionally, to satisfy the Mexican palette, Obee's Mexico will customize their menu to include Mexican favorites salva negra, a gourmet pork product made in Central Mexico and a chipotle pepper sauce as a condiment. As well as traditional American soups available at all Obee's Soup, Salad and Subs, Mexico locations will also offer tortilla soup and sopa poblana, a hot and spicy soup created in Puebla, Mexico.

Obee's is based in Port Charlotte, Florida and currently operates more than 50 units throughout the United States and Mexico, with approximately 50 more slated to open within the next six months. Obee's has signed agreements with more than 40 Master Development Agents in 23 states, who have committed to open more than 1,400 restaurants.
