Mr. Appliance Commercials Named Finalists At Telly Awards

WACO, TEXAS (Thursday, June 13, 2002) - Mr. Appliance®, the only franchise in America for appliance service and repair, recently received two Finalist honors at the 23rd Annual Telly Awards.
Founded in 1980, the Telly Awards give recognition to non-network and cable TV commercials, film and video production. Today, the national competition has grown to include more than 10,000 entries annually.

"We’re extremely proud of our marketing accomplishments," said Mike Owens, vice president of operations for Mr. Appliance. "We not only reached a big goal by establishing our first television spots this year, but we also demanded quality work to showcase our company and our image."

The two spots, which were produced by Dallas-based Saunders-Ream Marketing Communications Group, were entered in the Service Business Category of the Telly Awards competition. Dubbed the "Dinner" spot and the "Laundry" spot, the two entries for Mr. Appliance showcase the company’s prompt and professional customer service to solve appliance repair and maintenance problems.

"Mr. Appliance has raised the bar in the service and repair industry with these commercials," Owens added. "The quality and professionalism that we were seeking to communicate can’t be rivaled by any independent servicer. Instead, we’ve added another example to building a bigger and better brand through the power of franchising."
