Mr. Appliance Names New Vice President Of Operations

WACO, TEXAS (Tuesday, April 27, 2004) - Doug Rogers, former National Manager of Whirlpool Refurbishment Centers, has been named Vice President of Operations for Mr. Appliance. He replaces Mike Owens, who will remain with the company on a part-time basis as Vice President.

Rogers has extensive experience in management, field training and appliance service and repair. While at Whirlpool he received Whirlpool's Outstanding Contributor Award in 2000 and the company's sales increased from $5.2 million in 1999 to $8 million in 2001.

"I am confident in Doug's ability to lead Mr. Appliance's management team," said Mike Bidwell, president of Mr. Appliance. "He has a great track record and qualifications, and I look forward to working with him."

Rogers holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Northwestern College, St. Paul, Minn.

Owens will continue his work with Mr. Appliance on a part-time basis but will devote most of this time to his new position at Mission Waco, where he will help establish "My Brother's Keeper," a shelter for the homeless.

"I have a unique opportunity to pursue a dream I have had for years," said Owens. "However, Mr. Appliance has been a priority for me since 1996. I am grateful that I will be able to serve both Mr. Appliance and Mission Waco."
