Motophoto To Use Kodak Products As Primary Supplier
DAYTON, OHIO (Monday, August 13, 2001) -
Moto Photo, Inc. announced that effective September 17, 2001 Eastman Kodak Company will become its primary supplier of photographic paper, chemistry, film and related products. In making the announcement, Larry Destro, CEO of Moto Photo, Inc., said, "The Company has had a long and mutually rewarding relationship with Fuji and we regret that we could not negotiate a continuation of that arrangement. However, we need to keep our system and our Company competitive. We believe that offering America's number one photographic brand, Kodak, will be an advantage for our customer, franchisees and shareholders. We are very excited about the opportunities that working with Kodak will provide our system."
Joe Diliberto, General Manager and Vice President Photo Specialty, of Eastman Kodak Company said, "Kodak is thrilled to have Moto Photo as an important photo specialty customer. Because of Moto's upscale customer base, this agreement is a key component of Kodak's strategy to have leading photo specialty retailers at the forefront in marketing Kodak's premium and innovative products."
Moto Photo, Inc. is a Dayton, Ohio based franchisor and operator of 354 one-hour photofinishing stores and portrait studios in the U.S. and Canada.
