Molly Maid Sponsors 'Expose Your Messy Friend' Contest Which Includes Free Housecleaning For A Year
NEW YORK (Tuesday, July 18, 2000) -
Does the word chaos come to mind when you visit your friend's kitchen? Does it pain you to think of your pal staving off an onslaught of piled dishes and fighting a losing battle with household grime? Now is your chance to set your friend free, and to get a taste of that glory yourself. The theme of Sunlight(R) Dishwashing Detergent's third annual contest is "Expose Your Messy Friend" -- a golden opportunity for both you and your pal to lay down your cleaning agents and, for one entire year, bask in the glow of free, professional housecleaning courtesy of MOLLY MAID(R), one of America's largest residential cleaning services.
A Victory for "Partners in Grime"
There's nothing like winning in tandem, and sharing the prize with a friend who, like you, deserves a break! That's why Unilever Home & Personal Care-USA, makers of Sunlight(R) Dishwashing Detergent has masterminded the "Messy Friend" contest. It's a nationwide search for the most untidy kitchens around, and the friends who care enough to reveal them. All you have to do is capture your friend's chaotic kitchen on film (photo or video), and explain why that kitchen needs a good cleaning. Entries will be judged equally on creativity, composition, content, and persuasiveness.
How to Enter and "Clean Up" the Prizes
All legal U.S. residents over the age of 18 are invited to enter. Previous grand and first-prize winners of Sunlight's "Clean Up Your Kitchen" contest, interior decorators, home designers, professional writers, professional videographers and professional photographers (persons who been paid for their interior design or decoration, their writing, photography or videography in the past year) are ineligible. Contestants must submit an original color photograph accompanied by an original hand-printed or typed essay on an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper, or a narrated VHS videotape, of a friend's kitchen detailing why that messy kitchen needs cleaning. Essays must be a minimum of 50 words and a maximum of 100 words, and videotaped entries must be no more than two minutes in length. Entrants must include their name, address, phone number, and age on a 3 1/2" x 5" piece of paper and mail their submission to: Sunlight "Expose Your Messy Friend" Contest, P.O. Box 1952, Young America, MN 55594-1952. There is a limit of one entry per person.
