The Medtech Group Announced Facilities Have Been Certified

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ (Friday, June 10, 2005) - The MedTech Group, a leading contract manufacturer of medical devices, today announced that the following facilities have been certified to the ISO 13485:2003 standard, "Medical devices-Quality management systems-Requirements for regulatory purposes".

South Plainfield, NJ
West Haven, Connecticut
Heredia, Costa Rica

The ISO 13485:2003 is a newly established and internationally recognized standard developed to ensure that companies provide medical devices that consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements. In order to obtain certification, MedTech demonstrated the ability to consistently meet strict requirements for quality management systems applicable to medical devices. The MedTech Group received its certification from SGS United Kingdom, Ltd. Systems & Services Certification.

ISO 13485:2003 is currently the most stringent standard of quality control for medical devices. The MedTech Group actively pursued the ISO 13485:2003 certification to ensure the superiority of its quality and business management systems.
