Maui Wowi Fresh Hawaiian Blends Announces New Chief Operating Officer

Successful franchisee and director of regional support thrilled to join home office

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, COLORADO (Tuesday, December 07, 2004) - Maui Wowi Fresh Hawaiian Blends, the leading franchisor of gourmet, all-natural Hawaiian blends sold nationwide, recently announced the appointment of Mitchell York as the company’s new chief operating officer (COO).

A Maui Wowi franchise owner since 2002, York was most recently named a director of regional support (DRS) for New York , Long Island and New Jersey , serving as a home office liaison providing local franchise owners with operations, marketing and business development support. A resident of Sayville, N.Y., Maui Wowi recently named York the “Franchise Operator of the Year,” and just last month, York helped launch the first Maui Wowi fixed location in Manhattan, located in Rockefeller Center.

As Maui Wowi’s chief operating officer, York will work with the home office to develop and refine strategic business development initiatives to continually improve and help grow the franchise system. He will also regularly interact with franchise owners throughout the country, serving as a home office representative and mentor.

Prior to joining Maui Wowi, York was a senior executive in the magazine publishing and Internet information industries, serving as a vice president of CMP Media, Inc., senior vice president of Ziff Davis Media and president of LendingTree, Inc. and NetCreations, Inc. He will continue to reside in Sayville with his wife and three children.
