Un-bear-able Wait Is Over For Beanie Baby Fans: "Lex" Coming Soon Exclusively At Learning Express

DEVENS, MA (Tuesday, October 12, 2004) - The next must-have Beanie is LEX based on phone calls and website questions inundating Learning Express shop owners and the official TY website. Only lucky Learning Express shoppers will be able to purchase LEX, a cuddly brown teddy bear sporting a bright red ribbon.

If you thought the Beanie Baby craze that exploded a few years ago was winding down, think again! TY, makers of Beanie Babies, has designed a fuzzy brown bear named LEX which stands for Learning Express Exclusive! Learning Express was thrilled that the plush manufacturer chose to work with the specialty toy chain to create a bear just for them, said President Joe Diaz. Word has trickled out of LEX's arrival and customers can't wait to take home their bears. Learning Express always makes a point to sell TY Beanies at their everyday price, never marking them up for sought-after pieces, so children as well as collectors can have a chance to buy.

LEX is featured on the back cover of the 2004 Learning Express Holiday Catalog, hitting stores soon. Inventory of the one-of-a-kind bear at each neighborhood store in 30 states is limited. TY specifies that none of its products can be sold on any websites, so LEX lovers will have to visit a store to get one. Many Learning Express store owners are putting aside a few bears to give away to community charities as fundraisers so the bears can do some extra good. Learning Express prides itself on community involvement.
