New Kolache Factory Bakery-cafes To Open This Summer

MCALLEN, TX AND DENVER, CO (Friday, May 21, 2004) - Kolache Factory, a rapidly growing bakery-café franchise headquartered in Houston, Texas, will open to customers in McAllen, TX and Denver, CO this summer. Additional Kolache Factory bakery-cafes are scheduled open in other cities later this year.



The company has attracted an increasing number of franchisees and was recently featured on the Food Network as one of the “Top 5 Drive Thrus In The Country.” According to Kolache Factory co-founder and president, John Banks, “Our bakery-cafes appeal to franchisees because they’re the right concept at the right time. Unlike quick-service establishments that serve ordinary fare such as doughnuts and hamburgers, Kolache Factory offers its customers the opportunity to ‘Eat Different’.”



Kolache Factory’s freshly baked kolaches are filled with a variety of ingredients ranging from fruit to cheese to meat, and are appropriate to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Gourmet coffees and a variety of traditional pastries including croissants, cinnamon rolls and strudel niks, are also available to Kolache Factory customers.



Due to the increasing popularity of its products, Kolache Factory now ships its tasty treats nationwide. The company is privately owned and operated, and plans on opening 200 franchise stores by 2008.



There are currently 14 company-owned and five franchise stores in Houston, TX, two franchise stores in Indianapolis, IN, and one in each of the following cities: Phoenix, AZ; Louisville, KY; and St. Louis, MO. In addition to the franchise stores soon to open in Denver, CO and McAllen, TX, other franchise stores are scheduled to open in Cincinnati, OH; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Atlanta, GA; Washington, DC; San Antonio, TX; and Tampa, FL.
