Kidzart - Company Art Program Provides Scholarships For Kids

Owners Collaborate With Schools to Help Kids Discover Creativity

NEW BRAUNSFEL, TEXAS (Monday, October 04, 2004) - KidzArt is taking steps to help children of families in financial need reap the benefits of creative extracurricular activities. The art enrichment program is providing scholarships that entitle students to attend KidzArt classes.

“All kids deserve to have a chance to explore their interests and talents,”says Shell Herman , KidzArt CEO and co-founder. "KidzArt offers a variety of scholarships to children in special situations, which allows them to participate in this creative, fun and educational activity .”

KidzArt provides children with a guided foundation for drawing, but also encourages brainstorming and creative thinking. Several program scholarships are awarded each year to deserving children, from elementary through high school ages, who might not otherwise have the opportunity to participate. KidzArt collaborates with principals, counselors and art teachers to identify student candidates for the scholarships.

According to Herman, “Whether a child requires financial assistance or is in need of our program for therapeutic reasons, KidzArt wants to help these kids discover their artistic and creative abilities and realize the confidence-boosting benefits that come with it.”

In addition to providing scholarships, KidzArt also donates needed art supplies to art teachers, and supports other community initiatives by donating art class certificates to fundraisers, school raffles, summer camps and libraries.
