Venice Beach Sausage King To Open in South Bay Galleria

VENICE, CALIFORNIA (Monday, May 02, 2005) - Jody Maroni, the self-proclaimed king who made his unique Sausage Sandwich famous here on this beachside boardwalk, is set to open his 18th location at the South Bay Galleria in Torrance, CA.

Under a franchise agreement, veteran restaurant operator Jun Kumura will operate the 700 square foot store featuring Jody Maroni’s most popular items, including a dozen varieties of gourmet sausage sandwiches, all-beef hot dogs, breakfast burritos, sandwiches, hand-cut French fries and fresh-squeezed lemonade. Additionally, the new store will serve up bowls of a new signature Chicken Sausage Gumbo as well as pretzels and churros.

“South Bay folks have been waiting patiently for their sausage sandwich,” said Jody Maroni, from his roost in Venice Beach. “Now, they will have their pick. We are truly excited about being in the Galleria and being able to serve our world famous gourmet sausages to each and every mall visitor.”

Jody Maroni’s franchise director, Paul Kramer, who will oversee the opening sees great growth ahead. “Our expansion throughout Southern California is right on track,” said Kramer, “and we are primed for more kingdoms to pop up everywhere.” Current plans call for development soon in Los Angeles, Burbank and Las Vegas.
