Huddle House Announces Expansion Into Northeast Alabama

Garcia Enterprises Inc. Has Signed Development Deal to Open 5 Restaurants

DECATUR, GA. (Monday, December 13, 2004) - Over the next five years, the landscape of northeast Alabama will change. In conjunction with Huddle House Inc., Glenn Garcia, president of Garcia Enterprises announced an agreement to open five of the 24-hour full-service restaurants by 2010. The first restaurant will open in Hanceville, Ala. in April 2005. The additional locations are planned for the Huntsville/Madison county area.

“Our Huddle House locations will provide great food and friendly service to small towns that have few 24-hour dining options,” Glenn Garcia, president of Garcia Enterprises stated. “Huddle House’s expansive menu will have delicious meal choices for adults and children alike.”

The successful operation of Glenn Garcia’s current Huddle House restaurant in Scottsboro, Ala. led Garcia and his business partner Carlos Atilano, general supervisor of Garcia Enterprises, to invest in Huddle House’s winning franchisee program.

“Since we started our first franchise three years ago, the economic growth has exceeded our expectations. We are convinced that the return on our investment will be solid,” Garcia said.

The restaurants will be built in the company’s Classic Diner style, a design that includes new interiors with chrome trim and mahogany seating. Customers will be served Huddle House’s full 10-page menu, offering a variety of menu items ranging from the company’s signature “Big House” platters for breakfast, lunch and dinner to entrée salads and soups of the day.
