Great Clips Hires Regional Director For Texas, Continues Expansion In Dallas/fort Worth Markets

MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA (Monday, April 12, 1999) - Great Clips, Inc., the nation's fastest growing haircare franchise, recently named Robert J. Schmidt as the new Regional Director of the Texas market, as the value-priced haircare chain is fast becoming the dominant force in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Currently, Great Clips operates 32 salons in the Dallas/Forth Worth market. The value-priced haircare chain anticipates 20 more salons to be open in Dallas and Fort Worth by the end of 1999 and a total of over 100 in the market within the next five years.

Prior to joining Great Clips, Schmidt served as Director of Marketing Distribution, Southwest Region, for AT&T Wireless Services in Dallas, and as Vice President of Sales for the Foster Grant Group, also in Dallas.

Based in Minneapolis, MN, Great Clips currently has nearly 1,200 salons in some 70 markets across the United States and Canada, and the company plans to open an additional 260 salons in 1999.
