Fuddruckers Launches New Menu
BEVERLY, MASSACHUSETTS (Tuesday, October 23, 2001) -
Chipotle peppers, portobello mushrooms, and "The Triple Cheese" are just three of the newest toppings for The World's Greatest Hamburgers now at your local Fuddruckers.
A new menu, which began its rollout earlier this month, is now in place in most Fuddruckers restaurants. It includes additional chicken and fish choices in both sandwiches and dinner platters, more exotic meal-sized salads, and soups. "Don't forget burgers, burgers, burgers," says Fuddruckers' President Bryce King. "Our fresh ground 1/2, 1/3 and one-pound 100% beef burgers have been joined by turkey, veggie and the surprisingly popular ostrich."
"We are true to the hamburger connoisseur by offering six new specialty burgers," says Scott McCullough, Fuddruckers' Director of Marketing. "There are toppings like grilled portobello mushrooms, fresh guacamole, triple cheese, bacon and spicy chipotle BBQ sauce.
Adds McCullough, "Our famous fixin's bar with the freshest produce and condiments will always be a Fuddruckers' staple, just like our huge brownies, ice cream sundaes, cookies and Rice Krispy Treats for dessert."
Kids' Meals still offer fresh ground 1/3 pound burgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese and chicken tenders, along with fries, a drink and a cookie. "That's a fresh meal starting at around $3.00, not one that's been sitting under a heat lamp," says McCullough.
New appetizers and three soups have been added to the pre-dinner fare. The appetizers include a new "Works Sampler" -- chicken tenders, lemon pepper shrimp, fries, onion rings and garlic bread. Along with Fudd's traditional chili, Chicken Tortilla soup, Sausage and Chicken Gumbo, and Garden Vegetable with Sun Dried Tomato soup have been added. "These are popular before dinner and at lunch in a "Soup and Salad" combination," says McCullough.
For the past three years Fuddruckers has been undergoing some building renovations as well. The new "Rock and Roll" theme has been well received by "Fudd Buddies" and first-time guests as well. "We have great food in a fun, exciting environment--the first choice of families heading out to dinner," says Bryce King. "The newer menu will help make us the first choice of the lunch and afterwork crowd as well."
