Froots™ Smoothies & The Fan 1400/600 Team Up To Launch Froots In Gold's Gym

ORLANDO, FLORIDA (Monday, July 26, 2004) - Froots Smoothies and The Fan Network hosted the official grand opening celebration at the Froots location inside Gold’s Gym on Saturday, July 24, 2004. The event began at 9am with breakfast wraps and fresh squeezed juices, as well as a live broadcast of The Morning Bullpen with Carl Foster and Anita Marks.

The occasion was filled with plenty of enthusiasm and energy. Froots guests received a raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes including an MP3 player, a 27” flat screen television, and Gold’s Gym memberships and memorabilia. All visitors received t-shirts, hats, and key tags. The biggest reward was the surprise appearance from Shaquille O’Neil.

“Chicks on Sports,” Anita Marks and Melissa Walker, launched their inaugural show featuring special guest Darryl Tally, former Buffalo Bill. Both women have extensive professional and personal accomplishments in the areas of sports and fitness. Anita is currently on the roster for the Women’s Professional Football League in Miami, FL. Melissa Walker is a Master Trainer with IMX. Melissa owns her own studio and has trained such notables as supermodel Nikki Taylor, singer/actress Brandy, and many others.

Cristina Cavallo, Director of Marketing, said, “We had a great turn out and it was wonderful to have the fast growing Froots family, including new franchisees as well as potential franchisees, all together to celebrate. There was an opportunity for everyone to put names and faces together.”
