University of Florida Location Offers Students Healthy Meals in a Fun Environment

GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA (Tuesday, September 14, 2004) - Froots Smoothies, a smoothie franchise that offers a full menu of gourmet smoothies, salads and wraps, recently opened in Gainesville , Florida . The store’s location was chosen for its close proximity to the school’s campus, where students can enjoy a café atmosphere with nutritious gourmet smoothies and snacks.

Plans are underway for making Internet connection available.

“We’ve seen a tremendous response to our campus locations,” said Cristina Cavallo, director of marketing, Froots Franchising Companies, Inc. “There is a great demand for quick, affordable snacks that give students the energy they need. We even have Red Bull smoothies if they are getting ready to pull a cram session! We’re excited to see another campus location being added to the Froots family and know it will be a great success.”

In addition to convenience, the location offers special incentives. Customers with a student I.D. can buy a large smoothie for the price of a medium, and any customer that turns in a competitor’s punchcard with three or more punches receives a free smoothie. The store is located at 3636 S.W. Archer Road , one mile west of the University of Florida campus.
