Dreammaker Bath & Kitchen Named Remodeler Of The Year By Professional Remodeler Magazine

Company featured on cover of December issue

WACO, TEXAS (Monday, December 15, 2003) - DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen by Worldwide® has been named "Remodeler of the Year" by Professional Remodeler magazine, which features the company on the cover of the December issue. It is the first time in the award's four year history that the magazine has honored a franchise company.

Kimberly Sweet, editor of Professional Remodeler, said the magazine tries to address the big question of "why this company this year?" when picking the Remodeler of the Year. She said DreamMaker's grasp of the big picture and its system that helps individuals in their local areas reach that shared vision stood out.

"Right now, it seems to the Professional Remodeler editors that this industry is beginning to be rocked by a number of trends - consolidation, expansion, the true rise of the professional remodeler, new efficiencies realized through technology, customers who want a design/build-type experience at a more affordable price," Sweet said. "Targeting the Middle Market" is the title of Sweet's seven-page feature, providing an in-depth look at DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen and its rise to become the first household name in the kitchen and bath remodeling industry.

Sweet spent two days at DreamMaker's corporate headquarters in Waco, Texas, meeting the corporate staff and gaining a closer perspective of how the franchisor operates in relation to traditional remodeling companies. She also interviewed franchise owners Rich Maile, of Crescent Springs, Ky., and Steve Buckner, of Amarillo, Texas, for a grassroots grasp of DreamMaker's system in action.

"I found all the things I like to see when I visit a company in person," Sweet said. "On the walls, shared schedules; performance tracking charts; and written mission, vision and value statements tell me that the company is walking the talk." She added that the respect and passion for the company shared by co-workers and customers was evident when talking to them.

As Remodeler of the Year, the company's culture, code of values, franchise system, national branding, purchasing power, education and training, pricing for profits, and technology advantages are highlighted in the magazine.
