Cm It Solutions Appoints New Chief Executive Officer
AUSTIN, TEXAS (Wednesday, May 18, 2005) -
CM IT Solutions, a leading national franchise system providing IT professional services for small and mid-sized businesses (SMB), today announced that Gordon Bridge, president, will also assume the role of chief executive officer.
Bridge replaces Linda Burzynski, who has held the position the past five years. Burzynski, recently named CEO of Liberty Fitness, will continue her involvement with CMIT as a member of the board of directors.
Bridge, also a CMIT franchise owner, became president of the company on January 1, 2004, and has since been responsible for the overall business strategy while developing national accounts and alliance programs. In 2004, CMIT launched its national account program becoming the preferred local IT partner with numerous franchise systems such as Sylvan Learning Centers eSylvan division and Keller Williams Realty. In addition, CMIT has formed alliances with many leading IT firms including Dell, Symantec and Intuit.
I am looking forward to my expanded role at CMIT, said Bridge. With many exciting announcements to be made this year, we are well on our way of reaching our goal to become the best known, most trusted provider of IT professional services to the SMB market nationwide and eventually worldwide.
Currently, CMIT has more than 100 franchises in 32 states, 60 of which were added since January 2004. It has at least one franchise in 38 of the largest 50 cities in the United States.
Our strength continues to be our unique geographic presence. We can provide on-site IT support, in some cases through third parties, to customers anywhere in the country. Our various partner programs take full advantage of this reach by servicing locations where they often have little or no presence, while enabling enterprises with geographically dispersed locations to provide support from a single trusted service provider, added Bridge.
Bridge joined IBM immediately after college, and later held senior executive sales and marketing positions. He joined AT&T in 1988, becoming president of three business units during his seven years with them. Bridge retired from AT&T in 1995 and has since been CEO of three venture-backed IT firms, one of which he helped take public.
