Choice Hotels Acquires Remaining Interest In Flag Choice Hotels

SILVER SPRING, MARYLAND (Wednesday, February 26, 2003) - Choice Hotels International announced it has acquired the remaining 45% interest in Melbourne-based Flag Choice Hotels from Flag International Limited bringing its ownership of its Australian subsidiary to 100%.
"Our additional investment reinforces Choice Hotels' commitment to Flag Choice Hotels and to our licensee partners in the Asia Pacific region," said Bruce Haase, senior vice president, international.

"Choice has significantly accelerated the growth of Choice brands in Australia by converting many high quality Flag brand properties to the Clarion, Quality and Comfort brands," Haase continued.
