Captain D's Announces 2001 Franchise Award Winners, Hall Of Fame Inductee
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE (Tuesday, July 23, 2002) -
Captain D's Seafood Restaurants recently named its 2001 Franchise Award recipients at its annual awards ceremony. Tennessee franchisee Jim Pepper was named Franchise Operator of the Year, an honor that recognizes the top Captain D's franchisee in the system. This annual award goes to a franchisee that demonstrates an ability to run their business at a very high and dependable level. Jim operates franchise locations in Bristol, Johnson City, and Kingsport, Tenn., as well as one location in Norton, Va.
Kansas City franchisees Brian and Candy Studdard were awarded the Rising Star Award. This award is given annually to new franchisees that show an increase in sales and customer satisfaction at their location(s). The Studdard's are in the process of adding eight additional Captain D's locations in the Kansas City market.
Captain D's also announced that it has inducted Muncie, IN.-based franchisee Don Knight into the company's Hall of Fame, the sixth franchisee to receive the honor.
The Hall of Fame award recognizes longstanding franchisees who have demonstrated brand loyalty and support, consistent sales increases, high marks on "mystery shopper" reports and a commitment to growing the Captain D's brand. Don has been with Captain D's since 1967 and operates three locations in Muncie and one in Tuscaloosa, AL.
The company also recognized its top corporate employees by handing out awards for Area Director and Operator of the Year, Manager of the Year, Hospitality Supervisor of the year and Franchise Field Consultant of the Year.
