Ace Cash Express Sells $6,000,000 Texas Lotto Ticket

DALLAS (Thursday, May 18, 2000) - ACE Cash Express, Inc., the nation's largest check-cashing chain and a significant provider of related retail financial services, sold the winning Texas lottery ticket in Wednesday's $6,000,000 Lotto Jackpot.
ACE customer and Texas' newest millionaire purchased the winning ticket from ACE store #357, located at 4801 South Cooper in Arlington. ACE will receive one percent of the total jackpot for selling the ticket. The customer service representative who sold the ticket will receive a special recognition bonus.

"The excitement from selling the winning ticket is only surpassed by winning the lottery itself," said Ed McCarty, Senior Vice President of Operations. "We sell between 600,000-700,000 lottery tickets per month, so it was only a matter of time before we sold the winning numbers. We congratulate the winner and because they are a valued ACE customer, we will cash their lottery check for free!"
