Kurtz’s Twin Ports Subs, Inc. Named Franchisee Of The Year

TWIN PORTS AND DULUTH (Friday, March 04, 2005) - E&G Franchise Systems, Inc. announced Kurtz’s Twin Ports Subs, Inc., owner of the Duluth -based Erbert and Gerbert’s Subs and Clubs, as Franchisee of the Year. The award is based on demonstrated performance of the franchisee who best embodies a balance of success, leadership, wisdom, honesty, integrity and dedication to the vision.

Al Kurtz, owner of Kurtz’s Twin Ports Subs, Inc. along with his father and business partner, Al Kurtz, Sr., opened his first Erbert & Gerbert’s restaurant in 2001. “I’m honored to receive this prestigious award and to have our hard work and dedication recognized by E&G Franchise Systems, Inc,” said Kurtz, Jr.

Kurtz’s Twin Ports Subs, Inc. celebrated the grand opening of two more Erbert and Gerbert’s restaurants in 2004 and managed to grow overall sales by 20 percent. The father-and-son duo plans to open two more Erbert & Gerbert’s restaurants in 2005. “Plans are pending for Erbert & Gerbert’s opening in the Hermantown and Cloquet, Minn. markets,” added Kurtz.
